How to Update Your Target and Business Name and Target URL

Introduction 

You can update the display name of your target and your business name directly from the Astra dashboard at any time.

These details matter beyond just identification — they appear in your scan reports, pentest certificates, and dashboard summaries, so keeping them accurate is important.

Steps to Update

  1. Go to the Target page for the target you want to update and click on the settings

  1. Scroll to the General Settings section.

  2. Under Basic Information, click into the Target Name at top or Business Name field and make your changes.

  1. Click Save Changes.

That's it. Your updated details will be reflected across reports and certificates going forward.

Updating the Target URL

Before verification, the target URL can be updated freely.

After verification, URL changes require a case-by-case review — typically granted when the original URL was entered incorrectly or when switching between staging and production environments.
