Introduction

When you sign up for Astra's vulnerability scanning service, you start with a 7-day trial period. This guide explains how the trial works, what you'll be charged, and how to avoid unexpected charges.

How the Trial Works

  • Trial duration: 7 days from the date of signup

  • Trial cost: $7

  • Full subscription charges: Not applied during the trial period

At the end of the trial, your selected subscription plan activates automatically and you are charged the full subscription amount — unless you cancel before the trial ends.

What Happens After the Trial

If you take no action before the trial ends:

  • Your chosen plan activates automatically

  • You are billed the full subscription amount

  • You will receive a reminder email before the trial expires giving you time to cancel

If you cancel before the trial ends:

  • Your subscription does not activate

  • You are not charged the full subscription amount

  • You retain access until the trial period expires

How to Cancel Your Trial

  1. Log in to your Astra dashboard before your trial period ends

  2. Navigate to Settings → Subscriptions

  3. Locate your active trial subscription

  4. Click Cancel or Pause

  5. Select a reason and confirm

Expected Outcome

After canceling, your subscription status will update to Canceled or Paused. You will not be charged the full subscription amount after the trial ends.

Troubleshooting

Charged full subscription amount during or immediately after trial

  • Contact our support team within 48 hours of the charge by raising a support ticket from your dashboard

  • Include your email address and order ID in the message

  • Our team will review and process a refund if the charge was made in error

Did not receive the trial reminder email

  • Check your spam or junk folder for emails from no-reply@getastra.email

  • Ensure your account email address is correct under Settings → Profile

  • If you still cannot find it, check your subscription status directly under Settings → Subscriptions

Trial already ended before I could cancel

  • Contact support immediately. While we cannot guarantee a refund after the trial ends, our team will review your case.

Cannot find the Cancel option in Subscriptions

  • Ensure you are logged in with the account that purchased the subscription

  • Only Workspace Admins and Workspace Billing Members can manage subscriptions. Contact your workspace admin if you do not have the required role.
