The Targets settings page is designed to help you manage the configurations of your application's targets, ensuring effective and tailored scanning processes. This page plays a crucial role in managing the settings that directly impact how your targets are scanned and reported.

What Are the Different Target Settings Available?



The Targets settings page offers two main types of configurations:

Target Setup



These settings were initially configured during the target setup process. They include essential information and preferences that guide how the scanner interacts with your target. For a detailed guide on the target setup, you can refer to the Target Setup Flow article.



General Settings



These are additional settings that allow for more granular control over the scanning process and target management. Below, we’ll go into detail about these settings.




1. Basic Information Setup


Begin by entering the basic details of your target. This information is critical as it appears in scan reports, certificates, and dashboard summaries.



Target Name: Specify the name of your target application.
Business Name: Enter your business name, which will be displayed on generated certificates.
Scope URI for Report: Provide the scope URI that will be included in the scan report.
Default Assignee: Choose the individual who will automatically be assigned to handle any new vulnerabilities discovered during the scan.
Enable AI Features: Toggle this option to enable Astra's AI capabilities, which include generating test cases, answering queries, and assisting with the scanning process.

After completing these fields, ensure you click the Save Changes button.


2. Scan Speed


Optimize your scans by adjusting the speed to align with your application's performance requirements. You can choose the scan speed from this window or set a custom ping value.



Make sure to click the Save Changes button after making any changes.


3. Excluded Scan Rules


You can view the list of excluded scan rules by clicking on this option. This will give you the option to view the Comment and remove the exclusion



If you want to add more exclusions, open the particular vulnerability and mark it as False Positive.


4. Member Settings


This option lets you view the list of project members, displaying details such as their name, email, MFA status, role, who added them, and the date they joined.



To make changes like adding or removing members, simply click on the "Manage Members" button.


5. Subscription Settings
