How-To: Finding and Sharing Your IP Address
Last updated: May 29, 2026
Introduction
When you report an issue, the Astra support team may ask for your IP address. This information is vital because it allows them to locate your specific requests within the system logs, helping to resolve your issue much faster.
Prerequisites
Access to a web browser.
Instructions
Open the detection link: Navigate to https://radar.cloudflare.com/ip in your browser.
Identify your IP addresses: The page will display your current IP addresses. You may have one or both of the following types:
IPv4: Looks like 203.0.113.25.
IPv6: Looks like 2001:0db8:85a3::8a2e:0370:7334.
Copy and share: Copy both addresses (if both are shown) and share them directly with the support team.
Expected Outcome
By sharing these details, you provide the support team with information that is closely aligned with how Astra detects your IP in its own systems. This ensure the technical team can accurately filter logs to find your activity.
Related Tasks & Troubleshooting
Verifying Astra Traffic: If you are seeing unexpected traffic on your server and want to confirm it is coming from Astra's scanners rather than a malicious actor, you can compare the incoming requests against the official Astra IP Ranges.
Whitelisting: If you are in a restricted environment, ensure you have whitelisted all official Astra IPs to prevent your firewall from blocking legitimate security scans.
