Introduction

Store Fixer is a comprehensive PrestaShop Security module which provides the must have security tools to stop hackers and spammers. It adds features such as recaptcha, email domain blocking, country blocking, IP blocking among other things to your prestashop store. This article is your one stop solution for all your Store Fixer queries!

IP Blocking

This feature allows you to block IP’s and countries from accessing your website. Using the enable/disable toggle button you can switch on/off this feature.

How to add an IP/IP Range to the Trust/Block List?

Navigate to the add an IP access rule bar at the starting of the IP Blocking configuration screen.
Enter the IP/IP Range that you want to block in the "Enter the IP/IP Range/Country" input field. For eg: 172.16.254.1, 192.168.40.0/21
After entering the IP/IP range you can proceed to input a small note about the IP/IP Range that you want to trust/block.
Finally to execute the action click on the 'Trust'/'Block' button.

How to add a Country to the Trust/Block List?

Navigate to the add an IP access rule bar at the starting of the IP Blocking configuration screen.
Enter the country's name that you want to block in the "Enter the IP/IP Range/Country" input field. For eg: Russia
After entering the country's name you can proceed to input a small note about the country's name that you want to trust/block.
Finally to execute the action click on the 'Trust'/'Block' button.

How to add the GeoIP module Country?

It is essential to install this .dat file and place it under /modules/storefixer/vendor/geoip2/ directory for the proper functioning of teh country blocking feature.

How to view entries in the trusted/blocked list according to various parameters?

Navigate to the search bar just below the IP access rule bar.
Input the value of the IP/IP Range/Country you want to search for.
Now press the enter button, the relevant results would show up in the area below the search bar.

How to receive hourly notifications and weekly summary reports about the login attempts?

Captcha Protection

This feature allows you to Enable/Disable and customize Re-Captcha for your Prestashop Store. You can customize Re-Captcha location, version, whitelist message, etc. Using the enable/disable toggle button you can switch on/off this feature.

How to get my Re-Captcha Keys?

Navigate to this link and fill up a short form to get your site keys.
Input the site keys & click on the save icon at the end of the page to save your re-captcha keys.
Inputting wrong site keys will cause your captcha verification to fail, make sure to enter the correct site keys.

Is it compatible with Captcha v2 or v3 or both?

The store fixer is compatible with both Captcha v2 & v3.

What is the show captcha after option?

Using this option you can decide after how many failed login attempts do you want to show the captcha verification.

Can I select where to display the Captcha Widget?

Yes, by using the enable re-captcha for option you can choose where-all you want display the captcha widget.

What is Advanced Spam Protection?

This feature blocks over 1000+ fake/malicious domains email ids and provides advanced spam protection to your prestashop store.

Can I display a whitelist message?

Yes, using the whitelist message option you can set a message that would be displayed to all whitelisted users.

Content Protection

This feature allows you to protect content on your store-front by disabling: right click on storefront and images, stopping text selection, etc. Using the enable/disable toggle button you can switch on/off this feature.

How does this feature protect my store?

This feature protects your store from malicious hackers trying to steal your website data/images by disabling right click functionality, text selection and all popular keyboard shortcuts like CTRL+A, CTRL+C, CTRL+X, CTRL+V and CTRL+P.

What does Image Drag & Drop protection do?

This feature protects your store's images being stolen & used without your permission.

Security Headers

This function allows you to enable various security headers for your prestashop store. These security headers protect your website from various clickjacking, xss & content sniffing attacks. Using the enable/disable toggle button you can switch on/off this feature.

What is clickjacking protection?

On enabling this setting your prestashop store is protected from clickjacking. Clickjacking is an attack that tricks a user into clicking a webpage element which is invisible or disguised as another element.

What is XSS protection?

On enabling this setting your Prestashop store is protected from XSS attacks. Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks are a type of injection, in which malicious scripts are injected into otherwise benign and trusted websites.

What is content sniffing protection?

On enabling this setting your prestashop store is protected from Content Sniffing. An attacker can leverage Content Sniffing to send an XSS Attack.

What is HTTP only & secure flags protection?

On enabling this setting your prestashops store is protected from XSS attacks. HttpOnly and secure flags can be used to make the cookies more secure. When a secure flag is used, then the cookie will only be sent over HTTPS. When HttpOnly flag is used, JavaScript will not be able to read the cookie in case of XSS exploitation.
