What is the Getting Started Page?



The Getting Started page acts as a central hub designed to guide new users through their initial setup and configuration of their account. This page serves as a checklist for customers, ensuring that they complete all the essential steps to get started with the platform effectively.



This page simplifies the onboarding process by guiding you through critical tasks such as purchasing targets, setting up scans, inviting team members, and more. It also provides progress tracking to ensure that you’re on the right path.

How Do I Add More Targets?





At the top of the Getting Started page, you’ll find the Add More Target(s) section. Here, you can select the types of targets you want to add to your account, such as:

Web App
APIs
Cloud Infra
iOS
Android

After selecting your target type, click the Continue button, which will take you to the target checkout flow.

What are the Steps in the Getting Started Checklist?



The Getting Started page features a checklist that helps you monitor your progress in completing the setup tasks. Here’s a detailed breakdown of each step:

The progress bar at the top of the checklist shows the overall completion percentage, helping you track your progress.

Purchase Targets:

This step involves purchasing the necessary targets for your account. Once completed, it will be marked with a green check icon.

Setup & Start a Scan:

Set up and initiate scans on your purchased targets. This step will display the estimated time required to complete the setup. Once you click Start, it will take you to the Targets page where you can configure your pending targets. See the Target Setup and Verification Article for more details.

Invite Team:

This step guides you in inviting your team members to join your workspace. It's important for collaborative work within Astra. Simply click Start to begin the process.

Connect Astra with Apps You Use (Integrations):

Use this step to connect Astra Dashboard with your existing apps via integrations. This ensures seamless data exchange between your systems and Astra Dashboard.

Fix Vulnerabilities:

After running a scan, this step directs you to the vulnerabilities page where you can review and address identified issues. It shows the estimated time required to fix vulnerabilities, and clicking Start will navigate you to the relevant page.

How Do I Set Up and Start a Scan?





On the right side of the Getting Started page, there’s a Setup & Start a Scan section that provides an overview of all targets requiring setup. This section includes:

Search Bar: Allows you to search for specific targets by name.
Filter Options: Helps you filter the targets based on type, making it easier to manage multiple assets.

Clicking Start Verification next to a target will open the setup wizard.

What Should I Do If I Have Problems with the Setup?





If you run into any issues during setup, the Having problems with the setup? section at the bottom right of the page is here to help. Clicking Get Help will connect you with our support team, who are ready to assist you with any challenges you may face.

Get Help: Click on the Get Help button to access support from our team. We’re happy to assist you with any problems you might have.

How Do I Invite Team Members?





The Invite Team Members section, located at the bottom left of the page, allows you to easily add new users to your workspace. Click Invite Members to initiate the process and follow the instructions provided. This feature ensures that your entire team can collaborate effectively within the Astra platform.

Accessing Help & Support





If you need further assistance, the Help & Support section located at the bottom right provides quick access to Astra's help articles. Clicking Help Articles will redirect you to in-depth guides on various aspects of the Astra platform.

Upgrade Your Plan





The Upgrade Your Plan section allows you to manage your subscription, request re-scans, generate reports, and more. Click Manage Subscriptions to explore available options and upgrade your plan as needed.
