What is the Dashboard Page?



The Dashboard Page serves as your central hub for overseeing and managing the security posture of your entire organization. This global page provides a comprehensive, real-time overview of traffic data and security statuses across all targets within your site. From this central point, you can access crucial insights, including security grades, compliance statuses, and other important metrics, giving you a high-level view of your organization's overall security landscape.



From the Dashboard, you can easily start a scan using the banner section, which provides a quick link to initiate a new scan. For detailed instructions, refer to our How to Start a Scan article. Additionally, the Dashboard offers a Manage Targets button, which redirects you to the Targets Page where you can add, edit, or remove targets. For more details, see the Targets Page Help article.

What Are the Different Sections Available on the Dashboard?



The Dashboard Page is divided into several sections, each providing specific insights and information about your organization's security:

Overall Security Grade:





This section provides an at-a-glance view of your organization's overall security posture. The grade reflects the current security standard of your environment.

What are grades?

Grades are a simplified representation of your security status, allowing you to quickly assess how well-protected your organization is. The grading system typically includes categories such as A for excellent security, B for good, and so on. This helps prioritize areas needing improvement.

Failed Compliances:





This section lists compliance checks that your environment did not pass, including the number of fields checked for each compliance.

View All: Click the View All button to access the Compliance Page, where you can delve deeper into each requirement and understand what needs to be addressed.

Vulnerability by Severity:





This radar chart categorizes discovered vulnerabilities by severity levels Critical, High, Medium, Low, Info, helping you quickly identify the most critical issues that need immediate attention.

How to Use This Graph:

By analyzing the severity distribution, you can prioritize which vulnerabilities to address first, ensuring that the most dangerous ones are resolved promptly.

Scan In Progress:





The Scan In Progress section lists all ongoing scans with details such as target name, scan name, scan type, and the number of vulnerabilities found. Each row provides a snapshot of an ongoing scan. Click any row to be redirected to the detailed scan page, where you can monitor the scan’s progress and manage vulnerabilities.

This section helps new users get up and running with the platform. It includes a checklist of steps for effective use of Astra's vulnerability scanner.


Setup and Start a Scan:





This section allows you to quickly start a scan after setting up your targets. It lists any targets that are ready or require additional setup before scanning.
